Founding Backend Software Engineer

We're looking for a backend engineer who takes ownership of infrastructure and loves building systems that scale. Someone who writes clean APIs, thinks hard about data modeling, and moves fast without breaking things.
What You'll Do
Design and build reliable, scalable backend services and APIs
Own the data layer - schema design, migrations, query performance
Work closely with frontend engineers to ship full features end-to-end
Set up observability, logging, and alerting from the ground up
Contribute to infrastructure decisions as we scale
You
3+ years building production backend systems
Strong with Node.js, Postgres, and REST/GraphQL APIs
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Vercel/Railway)
Startup or founding team experience preferred
Excellent ownership, communication, and proactive mindset
Previous founder a bonus
