How we counted
We counted every remote job in the software engineering, other engineering, product and design categories that was added to Matcha between October 1 and October 31, 2026 (UTC): 3,266 postings, which reduce to 2,811 once the same title at the same company is counted once. Postings are counted as listed, so a role reposted for several locations counts more than once. One company whose job board turned out to belong to a different business was excluded. A posting counts as having pay if it lists a salary range. Medians cover postings priced in US dollars per year and use the midpoint of the range; regions with fewer than 40 such postings are not shown. Skills come from the tech stack extracted from each posting.
