Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Security Evaluator to conduct comprehensive physical security evaluations of multiple data center facilities within an assigned region. This role protects critical infrastructure, personnel, and assets through effective oversight of security programs, vendor relationships, and incident response. The ideal candidate is forward thinking and security minded. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and data center environments. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at technical, business, and executive levels. Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and assigned tasks. Working knowledge of physical security best practices, including application of security systems, investigation techniques, contract security guard management, incident management, and assessment of access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical security evaluations of all data facilities within an assigned region.

  • Document all identified vulnerabilities and ensure effective mitigation actions are implemented to resolve each security gap.

  • Prepare clear, concise evaluation reports with supporting documentation of the overall physical security posture of Vultr locations.

  • Partner with Vultr Security teams and customers to review security documentation and support understanding of physical security standards and policies in real-world environments.

  • Research, develop, and evaluate new technologies and security measures for potential application to existing security processes and data facility environments.

  • Assist the global Physical Security Team in determining the strategic direction of the Vultr Physical Security Program, informed by customer interactions and assessment outcomes.

  • Keep Physical Security leadership fully informed of stakeholder and customer engagement status, open issues, and key activities.

  • Stay current with industry trends, events, and innovations. Build and maintain relationships with key industry professionals and equipment manufacturers.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and data center environments.

Compensation

$80,000 - $100,000

Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
