Who we are
The challenge: Every minute matters in wildfire response. As climate change increases the frequency and intensity of wildfires—with longer fire seasons, drier fuels, and more extreme weather—new ignitions can spread rapidly, putting communities, critical infrastructure, and ecosystems at risk. Today, many wildfires are first reported by members of the public, meaning it can take valuable time to detect a fire, confirm its location and size, and mobilize responders. Fire agencies need faster, more reliable ways to detect, verify, and pinpoint new ignitions so they can respond quickly and prevent small fires from becoming catastrophic events.
About Pano AI: Pano AI is the leader in AI-powered wildfire detection and intelligence, helping fire professionals detect, respond to, and contain wildfires faster and more safely. Our platform combines advanced hardware, software, artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, and other data sources to provide real-time situational awareness and actionable intelligence. Using a network of ultra-high-definition, 360-degree cameras positioned across high vantage points, Pano AI delivers a real-time view of wildfire activity, enabling faster, more informed decision-making when every second counts.

The Role
Pano AI is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for the components and materials that go into our hardware devices. This role owns the supplier side of our supply chain end to end — identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, managing cost and lead-time targets, and building the risk mitigation and continuity plans that keep our hardware program moving as Pano scales.
You will work closely with Hardware, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to translate current and future manufacturing needs into sourcing strategy, cost models, and supplier relationships that create long-term value for Pano. You will also be the internal voice on global supply chain conditions, trade compliance, and pricing trends — flagging risks early and advising leadership on how to respond.
What you'll do
Source and qualify suppliers for all Pano AI components and device materials
Negotiate and establish vendor contracts, including Master Supply Agreements, securing favorable terms and pricing
Manage cost targets, lead time, and materials availability; evaluate supply risk and develop mitigation plans
Manage overall supplier relationships, including supplier performance, capability development, cost, and quality improvements, to create a win-win outcome
Interface with cross-functional teams to assess current and future manufacturing service requirements
Develop cost models for devices and equipment to track current spending and identify future cost reduction opportunities
Ensure Pano AI's compliance with all applicable export and import regulations
Monitor current supply chain conditions to identify challenges and develop continuity plans
Advise management on global supply chain challenges, risks, and pricing trends that could impact the business
Lead the "Buy American" compliance program
What you'll bring
3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience
6+ years of total professional experience in business, manufacturing, or technology roles
Experience with contracts and contract management
EMS management experience, project management skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of outsourced manufacturing service models
Ability to travel up to 10%
BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university
Start-up experience or experience in a similarly fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience selecting and managing vendors for complex custom sub-assemblies, contract manufacturing relationships, or other high-complexity strategic partnerships
