Vantaca careers: remote jobs, culture and where they hire

Vantaca builds AI-first software for community association management, the systems HOA and condo management companies use to run their business. Dave Sweyer and David Gunn founded the company in 2015 in Wilmington, North Carolina, on the belief that community management companies deserved software built for how they actually run their business. Vantaca now serves more than 500 management companies and over 6 million households nationwide, and has made the Inc. 5000 list for five consecutive years, including 95% revenue growth in the most recent year.

In November 2024, Vantaca acquired HOAi, a Sunnyvale, California AI technology provider building tools for financial analysis, document management and communication in the HOA industry. The deal gave Vantaca a two-tier AI strategy: Scout, an everyday AI research assistant built into the core platform, and HOAi, a standalone Transformational AI product kept running independently so it can move fast and stay usable by other management companies. In October 2025, Cove Hill Partners led a $300M+ growth investment at a $1.25 billion valuation, with existing investor JMI Equity, which first backed the company in 2022, also participating, making Vantaca a unicorn.

The AI push has real usage behind it: Vantaca says its agentic AI has automated more than 1 million tasks and saved customers over 100,000 hours, the traction CEO Ben Currin points to when he says the company delivers true agentic AI capabilities that transform daily operations rather than just digitizing old processes. Cove Hill co-founder Jane Levy Vance backed that read, saying the firm believes Vantaca's AI-first approach has sustainable competitive advantages.

The leadership bench is stacked with SaaS operators who scaled companies through growth stages elsewhere: CPO Trisha Price previously held the same role at Pendo and nCino, COO Tom Arnett was CEO of Blue Sombrero, and CRO Will Cameron was CRO at ModernFi and a senior leader at nCino. For someone joining now, that is a team that has done this before, at a company that just crossed a $1.25 billion valuation with fresh capital earmarked for AI development and go-to-market expansion.

Its own careers page describes a team that is mostly in the Wilmington office together every week, but current job postings tell a more flexible story: most open roles across product, engineering and sales are listed as in-office or remote, and one Sales Engineer opening is explicitly scoped to Pacific/Mountain time zone candidates.

The HOAi acquisition also gave Vantaca a second hub in Redwood City, California, where several senior engineering roles (AI data and analytics, AI agents platform, payments) are hybrid rather than remote. In practice that makes Vantaca a hybrid company with two physical centers of gravity, Wilmington and the Bay Area, rather than a fully distributed one.
