What is Viktor?

Viktor builds a generalist AI employee. You add it to Slack or Microsoft Teams, tag it like a teammate, and it comes back with finished work: dashboards, internal apps, ad audits, reports. It connects to over 3,200 tools and charges for usage rather than per seat.

The company launched publicly in February 2026 with a demo video that did 2.5M views in its first week, crossed $30M in ARR within months, and raised a $75M Series A from Accel, with angels including the founders of Lovable, ElevenLabs, Vercel, Deel, Framer, and both founders of Slack. The team of around 40 works from Warsaw, Munich, Dublin, and New York, and hires remotely across the US, UK, and Europe.

Why Viktor is exciting to work for

Most AI products are existing tools with AI added. Viktor is one of the few companies building the sci-fi version: a single AI coworker with real context and access that you manage like a person. The ambition is explicit. Every company standup opens with a counter: "Today is day 1,064 of our mission to automate all knowledge work for humanity. We are 0.014% there."

The traction is unusual even by hot-startup standards. Viktor grew mostly self-serve after launch and hit $30M ARR with roughly 15 people at the time of the Series A. Net dollar retention was 350% in the first 30 days, meaning customers who start small quickly delegate much more. The founders, Fryd Wiatrowski and Peter Albert, met at Meta and had been shipping AI products since 2023 before this one worked.

The company also runs on its own product. New hires get Viktor on day one, and the CRO says he was operational within hours because Viktor onboarded him. As one employee put it, joining an AI company that does not run on its own AI "is like joining a restaurant where the chefs order delivery."

What to expect from the culture

Slope over resumes. Fryd: "I don't care about experience... I only hire people who are smarter than me." One engineer was hired when he could barely code, on the expectation that he would learn extremely fast. Some of the team never finished high school; others were on the Llama 2 core team or built Notion's EMEA business from $13M to $230M ARR.

Extreme urgency. "It's never 'let's schedule a call for Wednesday'. If it can be done today, do it today." Expect the founders to want to know everything, now.

No playbook, no process, build your own tools. Matt Swulinski, Head of Growth: "If that sounds like overhead rather than leverage, this isn't the place." People who want structure and settled process tend not to fit; people who read that and think "finally" do.

How to get hired at Viktor

The bar for applications is low and the bar for effort is high. Cold email works: Fryd's founder associate got the job by emailing repeatedly, then sending a fully built solution to Viktor's biggest problem at the time, before they had ever spoken.

Viktor hires on learning speed rather than credentials, so a high-effort application that solves a real problem for them beats a polished CV.
