Describe your next role, cut the noise
The Opportunity
As the Senior Marketing Specialist at Coursedog, you'll play a broad, high-visibility support role that touches nearly every part of our marketing function. You'll work closely with every member of the team, gaining hands-on insight into events, social, content, campaigns, demand gen, and operations—using that exposure to grow into a well-rounded marketer. This is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of marketing experience who is a genuine go-getter: someone who doesn't wait to be asked, who's willing to dig into whatever needs doing, and who sees every task as a chance to learn and build new skills.
This position offers a competitive base salary between $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience and qualifications. The role also includes a performance-based variable compensation component, bringing total on-target earnings (OTE) to $80,000 - $90,000 when performance objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do
- Provide broad support across the marketing team: gain hands-on insight into all marketing functions, from events, social and content to campaigns, demand gen, and operations.
- Collaborate on social media strategy and execution across the Coursedog brand, creating posts, managing scheduling, and ensuring consistent tone and messaging.
- Coordinate blog posting and content research, supporting the content strategy and ensuring timely publication across both brands.
- Assist with building, launching, and managing campaigns and content in our marketing automation platform, learning platform capabilities and best practices along the way.
- Serve as the traffic coordinator for the marketing team: keep content, design, campaign work, and other initiatives moving on schedule, manage deadlines, and ensure clear communication across stakeholders.
- Partner with HR on internal marketing needs, helping promote internal activities, company updates, and marketing team initiatives that build cross-collaboration and a strong sharing culture.
- Support marketing operations: assist in overseeing marketing budget and spend tracking, help maintain marketing systems and processes, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Use marketing automation tools and data to support campaign execution and reporting—learning how to evaluate and leverage tools that improve team productivity.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, helping wherever the team needs support and identifying opportunities to grow your skills.
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years of marketing experience, with hands-on exposure to at least two marketing functions (social, content, campaigns, email, demand gen, or operations).
- Strong organizational skills and genuine comfort juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously without losing quality or momentum.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a sharp eye for tone, detail, and brand voice across social and content channels.
- Go-getter mentality: takes initiative, digs in without being asked twice, moves fast, and thrives helping wherever the team needs support.
- Collaborative mindset: energized by supporting teammates and contributing to shared goals, not just your own work; genuinely enjoys cross-functional partnership.
- Ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly; experience with a marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar) is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail: ability to catch errors, maintain process consistency, and deliver polished work under tight timelines.
- Genuine interest in growing your career in marketing and taking on increasing responsibility over time.
