About Akkio
Akkio is the AI infrastructure that automates campaign workflows for the world's largest media agencies. Our platform runs on-premises within our partners' cloud environments, sits directly on top of their data, and enables teams to productionize agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale with full security and governance control.
Our approach already powers some of the biggest names in media. Havas is building agentic AI into Converged.AI, its global operating system, in partnership with Akkio. Horizon Media strengthened its blu. platform with Akkio. Mediaplus built Plus.AI, its global AI media planning system, on our infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses Akkio to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.
We're a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media's biggest players do next.
How we work
We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Our solutions architects use AI agents every day to build demos on real partner data, prototype integrations, pressure-test architectures, and turn a discovery conversation into a working proof point in days, not quarters.
You'll be advising the world's largest media agencies on how to run their business on agentic AI, and that advice only lands if you live it yourself. If you've rebuilt how you work around AI tools and you can show, not just tell, what agentic workflows make possible, you'll feel at home. If you're still evaluating whether AI is ready for real work, this isn't the right role.
The opportunity
The Solutions Architect is the technical face of Akkio during evaluation — the person who earns the technical win. You're cross-account by design: you own POC scoping and definition, demos on partner data, and the deployment architecture that takes a partner live, staying sharp at POC craft by running many engagements rather than living inside one.
You enter at qualified opportunity and drive through the technical win: discovery, the POC gate (named use cases, success criteria, and exit criteria the partner signs), POC execution, and the architecture behind it. At POC signature, a Solutions Strategist shadows the back half of your POC and takes the account at close. Your handoff is warm, and you move to the next win.
There's a career path we keep picturing for this role. You started inside an agency, learning how the work actually gets done and who does it. You moved into AdTech to get closer to the technology and the craft of building product. And in the last few years you've gone deep on AI because you saw where the industry was heading. If that arc sounds like yours, even loosely, we should talk.
This role is built for owners. Enterprise engagements at a fast-moving AI company are rarely fully defined and often shift as we learn from partners. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes an ambiguous partner need, shapes it into a solution the platform can deliver, and drives it to the technical win without waiting for a playbook. You build trust by being the most useful person in the room.
What you'll do
Own POC scoping and definition: run the qualification gate — named use cases, success criteria, and exit criteria signed by the partner before the POC starts
Lead technical discovery, architecture sessions, and solution design workshops that translate how agencies plan, build audiences, and measure campaigns into agentic workflows running on Akkio infrastructure
Partner with go-to-market to earn the technical win: scoping and running proofs of concept, building demos on partner data, and giving technical buyers the confidence to say yes
Design deployment architectures that work within each partner's cloud environment, data landscape, and governance requirements — inheriting their governance, access controls, and security model
Run the data work inside the POC: ingestion and transformation design across whatever stack the partner brings (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Postgres, Mongo)
Hand off warm: bring the Solutions Strategist into the POC's back half so the account starts with full context
Productionize the repeatable parts: every second and third repetition becomes a module, a rail, or an agent that makes the next engagement faster
Spot patterns across accounts and bring them back to product and engineering, shaping the roadmap with what you're hearing in the field
Who you are
3+ years in customer-facing technical roles: solution architecture, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering, data engineering, or agency-side technology leadership
Fluent in the modern AI stack and able to hold your own in deep technical conversations on LLMs, agentic systems, data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks), and cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
AI-native as a daily practice: you use LLMs and agents as tools, you have opinions about context management, prompting, and where agents break, and you've built things you can show us
Hands-on data skills: strong SQL, comfort with ingestion/transformation patterns and medallion-style data zones, and experience working directly with campaign, audience, or measurement data
Consultative instincts: you're comfortable in the sales motion, you know how technical evaluations are won, and you influence buying decisions by being credible and useful rather than by pitching
Comfortable with enterprise IT: SSO/SAML, data residency, security reviews, governance inheritance, and named-access requirements at large organizations
You thrive on ownership: you've repeatedly taken loosely defined partner needs and delivered outcomes anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction
Media experience (strongly preferred)
You know the media business from the inside: how agencies are structured, how planning, buying, audience, and measurement work flows. Direct experience is ideal, but strong familiarity plus curiosity counts, especially early in career. We'll teach the domain to someone who brings the infrastructure depth and the AI instinct.
Seniority is flexible
We care more about trajectory than years logged. An early-career engineer with real cloud/AI depth and media curiosity can grow into this role fast; a senior architect gets scope from day one.
Bonus points
Hands-on experience building with large language models: evals, tool use, agent orchestration, or LLM-powered prototypes you can show us
A network across agency holding companies and independents, and a feel for how buying decisions get made inside them
A public voice in the industry: speaking, writing, or teaching on AI, data, or the future of media
Previous early-stage startup experience
How we partner internally
You (Solutions Architect): cross-account, pre-sales. POC scoping and definition, demos, deployment architecture, technical build within the POC, and the technical win.
Solutions Strategist: account-embedded, post-sales. Owns the account post-POC through adoption and growth; enters at POC signature and takes the account at close.
GCE (Global Client Executive): owns the commercial relationship; converts realized value into references and expansion with the Solutions Strategist.
What to expect in the interview process
Technical deep-dive: a partner-environment architecture scenario — data zones, governance inheritance, pipeline design. We probe for genuine depth vs. surface familiarity.
AI-native working session: build something small with an agent, live. We want to see how you actually work.
Engagement role-play: a messy, underspecified partner ask — we watch how you scope it, what you push back on, and what you commit to.
Why you'll love working here
Build at the frontier. You'll put agentic AI into production at the world's biggest media agencies, not into slideware. You'll have the tools, budget, and encouragement to push what's possible, and you'll get better at this craft faster here than almost anywhere.
Ride real acceleration. Akkio is a well-funded startup in a rapidly accelerating phase with major enterprise partners in production, expanding global deployments, and a market that's moving toward us. Joining now means real ownership of outcomes and real upside: substantial equity, outsized scope, and a direct line from your work to company results.
Work with an exceptional team. Our team is small and accomplished, composed of people who've built and scaled products at top companies and chose to do the ambitious thing here. Our culture is built around shared wins: high trust, low ego, and the expectation that everyone operates like an owner.
