Trial Library is an AI-native research platform with a mission to improve healthcare outcomes by expanding access to precision medicine.
About Trial Library
Trial Library is an AI-native enrollment and care navigation platform that accelerates access to precision medicine. In collaboration with biopharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and health systems, Trial Library enables the delivery of clinical trials as a standard care option - improving patient access, advancing oncology outcomes, and reducing the total cost of care. Backed by leading healthcare venture capital firms, Trial Library’s platform is currently deployed in 840+ clinics and 3,000+ providers nationwide.
Reporting to the Director of Provider Partnerships, the Business Development Representative owns top-of-funnel outreach to the oncologists who refer patients to Trial Library. Your work directly fuels patient referral volume and provider channel growth. You will build target lists of community oncology practices, community health systems, and research-capable oncology clinics, then work the phones, run email and LinkedIn sequences, and book qualified meetings with oncologists, practice leaders, administrators, and office managers. This is a phone-first prospecting role - email-only outreach has a ceiling, and we know it - so we are looking for someone comfortable dialing a practice and working through a gatekeeper.
You are not expected to close contracts or own partnerships long-term. Once a meeting is held, our provider engagement team takes over the relationship, and your focus stays on generating the next conversation and re-engaging practices that have gone quiet. This role begins as a full-time contract engagement with the potential to convert to a full-time employee.

Build and maintain target lists of community oncology practices, medical groups, and provider organizations in priority geographies
-
Conduct high-volume outbound outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn to oncologists, practice owners, administrators, and office managers
-
Schedule qualified meetings with clinical and practice decision-makers for our provider engagement and provider operations teams

Confirm and reconfirm scheduled meetings to minimize no-shows
-
Clearly articulate Trial Library's value to a practice: what we do, what we ask of them, and what their patients gain access to
-
Run disciplined multi-touch follow-up and keep outreach cadences moving without being chased
-
Log every call, email, contact, and outcome accurately in Salesforce
-
Re-engage cold, stalled, and previously contacted practices on a set cadence
-
Report weekly on activity, meetings scheduled, meetings held, and downstream referral activity
-
Feed insights back to the team - objections, workflow friction, competing programs, and what actually moves a practice to yes
-
Hand off cleanly, with contact history, context, and next steps documented before every meeting
-
2+ years in healthcare sales, business development, physician outreach, provider relations, medical device or diagnostics sales, or practice development
-
Demonstrated cold outreach experience across phone, email, and LinkedIn, with a track record of booking meetings with clinical decision-makers
-
Comfortable and effective on the phone with physician offices, including working through gatekeepers
-
Disciplined CRM habits; Salesforce experience preferred
-
Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain a clinical program simply and credibly
-
Self-motivated, organized, and able to hit measurable weekly targets with minimal supervision
-
Experience calling on oncology practices, or a background in clinical trials or clinical research - strongly preferred
-
Existing relationships with oncologists, medical groups, or community practices - strongly preferred
-
Experience in an early-stage or startup environment - preferred
