Job Description
Job Description
We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our growing team and serve as the technical bridge between our CAD/CAM product and the custom manufacturers who depend on it. You’ll partner closely with Sales to bring the power of CAD/CAM-driven manufacturing to life for prospects and customers, while also connecting the dots to the broader INNERGY suite of solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and production. You’ll translate complex technical capabilities into clear, real-world outcomes that help custom millwork shops understand how CAD/CAM can transform their workflows from design through CNC output. If you’ve lived in the world of millwork, cabinetry, or custom manufacturing and love helping others see the “aha moment,” this role is made for you.
This is a fully remote role, and candidates can be based anywhere across North America.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Sales to own the technical pre-sales cycle for CAD/CAM, from discovery through close, including articulating how CAD/CAM fits within the broader INNERGY ecosystem
- Lead tailored product demonstrations that showcase CAD-based design, engineering, and manufacturing workflows, making complex capabilities feel intuitive and tangible for prospects
- Translate customer requirements into scalable CAD/CAM solutions (libraries, automation, production outputs)
- Guide prospects through how CAD/CAM supports engineer-to-order and custom manufacturing environments
- Support technical validations, proof-of-concepts, and complex deal cycles
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align customer needs with product capabilities
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, channeling feedback on trends, gaps, and opportunities to Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership
- Continuously refine demo environments, including libraries, renderings, and manufacturing outputs
- Represent INNERGY at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events (e.g., Closets Expo, Wood Pro Expo, IWF, and regional events)
- Contribute to INNERGY’s education mission by supporting education sessions, webinars, and Lunch & Learn events as a subject matter expert
Qualifications
- Background in the architectural millwork, casework, or cabinetry industry (shop floor, engineering, estimating, or production management) strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical consulting within a manufacturing software or CAD/CAM environment preferred
- Natural ability to build trust and rapport quickly with shop owners, engineers, and production managers
- Consultative, problem-first mindset: you ask the right questions, uncover the real bottleneck, and connect it to a practical solution
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (Toolbox, libraries, post-processors) and/or other CAD/CAM-based systems
- Thrives in a high-accountability, fast-moving SaaS environment. You own outcomes, not just tasks
- Ability to demonstrate and explain parametric design, product libraries, and production outputs
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills. You can make a CNC post-processor sound exciting to a room full of shop owners
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows, customer visits, and team events
Additional Information
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
Why INNERGY
We hire for how people show up, not just what’s on the resume. Here’s what that looks like day to day:
- Voice of the Customer. It starts and ends with the woodworker. We build for the people running the saws.
- Education. We listen, learn, and teach. Curiosity is part of the job description.
- Agile as Hell. Fast improvement beats delayed perfection. Try it, learn, ship the better version.
- Transparency. We share what we know, say the hard thing kindly, and earn trust the honest way.
- Problem/Solution. We run toward problems, not around them.
- Quality. We deliver as if we’re the ones on the receiving end.
